Water Is Sacred

Water from an Indigenous perspective is simple, It's sacred. The very basis for all life is the splitting of a cell that requires water. The very beginning of our life and for nine months we are carried and nurtured in water in the womb of our mother, 80% of our bodies is water, we cleanse ourselves in water, we harvest our foods and medicine from water and we need water to sustain us. If we don’t look after it, none of us will be here.
